Our Ministries
Our church has many great ministries that focus on the unique needs of men and women, children and youth, couples and singles, adults and seniors. No matter your age, stage in life, talents, or calling, we have a place to serve you and for you to serve here at North Conway.
Sunday Morning Worship
This is our main weekly meeting where we gather to worship through singing, giving, praying, and teaching God’s word.
Our services usually last an hour and fifteen minutes. They are casual attire in a relaxedatmosphere. The music is upbeat, led by a praise team and choir, and includes ancient hymns, traditional choruses, and modern praise and worship songs. The sermons are biblically founded, practically applicable, and conservative in their theology. Our Wee Care program provides care for children from birth through age four throughout the entire service. Our Kidz Worship program allows children from kindergarten through third grade to leave the service right before the message and enjoy a time of age- appropriate teaching.
Sunday School
“Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully observe all the words of this law” (31:12).
As we read in the Old Testament book of Deuteronomy. This is a great verse describing our Sunday School classes. Each Sunday morning, we have small group bible studies organized by age, from birth through our most senior adults, so that each person can grow in their relationship with God and other church members. A lay member of the church teaches each class, and rosters are consistent weekly to allow relationships to develop.
Wednesday In The Word
Each Wednesday from September through May, we offer this mid-day bible study. There is a meal offered for a $5 donation starting at noon. Then from 12:15 pm until 12:45 pm our pastor teaches verse by verse through a book of the bible. The teaching stops promptly at 12:45 pm so that those who come on their lunch break can get back to work on time. If you miss a session or need to catch up all sessions are posted on our church YouTube page here.
If you are unable to attend at noon, you have the option to attend at 6:00 pm in the Choir Room, located in the East Wing, which includes a discussion time.
Preschool Ministry
Our preschool area serves children birth to 5 years old, and provides a safe, secure, and loving environment for the littlest ones in your family!
On Sunday morning, preschoolers can join a Sunday School class. These classes are divided by age and include Bible stories, interactive activities, and free play.
These same classes transition to Wee Care, which is our extended childcare ministry during our Morning Worship Service. Grouped by age, children participate in fun crafts, songs, and free play.
Our mid-week program offers childcare for babies to 3 year olds, and a Preschool class for 4 and 5 year olds. The Preschool class includes exploring Bible stories, learning about missionaries, engaging activities, free play, and age-appropriate praise and worship time.
Kids Ministry
Our kids ministry serves 1st through 5th graders and provides a safe, secure, and loving environment for kids to discover Jesus and deepen their faith.
On Sunday mornings, kids can join a Sunday School class for age-appropriate Bible study and engaging activities.
During Morning Worship, elementary aged kids are invited to attend Kids Worship for a kid-friendly worship experience including music, Bible teaching, games, and small group activities.
Our mid-week program gives 1st-5th graders an opportunity to hear Bible stories, learn about missionaries, serve through mission projects, engage in focused activities, and to connect with their peers. Our kids mid-week program ends with an age appropriate praise and worship time.
Student Ministry
NCBC Students is for student’s 6th through 12th grade. Our goal is to partner with parents to graduate students into a lifetime of following Jesus. Camps, retreats, mission opportunities and our monthly Foundation Night events fill the calendar with chances for your student to engage with friends and our church family. While we have lots of fun, building a Godly foundation with our students and their families is our priority.
NCBC Students meets weekly on Wednesday nights for a time of fun, fellowship, prayer and Bible teaching. Doors open early so students can connect with friends. All are welcome
Women's Ministry -(Rooted)
This ministry will seek to provide opportunities to dive deep into God’s Word through women’s Bible studies, love our community through outreach events, experience powerful worship and fun fellowship through weekend conferences and retreats, and so much more.
The name Rooted comes from the power prayer in Ephesians 3:14-20 which exhorts us to be ROOTED in God’s love, through Christ, so we may grow in our knowledge of Him, love others, and experience all of His fullness through faith.
Men's ministry
Brotherhood (Baptist Men) is an inclusive ministry created for all adult men of our church. Our purpose is two-fold: First, to provide an opportunity for our men to socialize and get to know each other during regularly scheduled monthly meals. Through those events, we hope our members will be able to recognize each other and attach a name to a face as well as create and pursue new friendships. Second, to provide opportunities to serve within and outside of our church in areas where we, as a group or individually, can maximize our talents and/or spiritual gifts. By working together to achieve a common goal, we can be an example for our community, other church members and each other, displaying the love of Christ through Christian Action.
Senior Adult Ministry- (Joyful Endeavors)
Our Senior Adults are involved in every aspect of ministry, as well, they enjoy social, recreational, and relational activities specific for them. Senior activities are designed to provide love, care, and challenge to senior adults to continue serving the Lord in the exciting years of life.
Missions Ministry
Our "Acts 1:8" Team mobilizes members to be on mission in our Jerusalem (Horry County), in our Judea (South Carolina & North America), and to the ends of the earth (international). We seek to do this by creating mission awareness, helping facilitate prayer for missions, providing opportunities for people to go on missions, and through sacrificial giving. NCBC works with partners in the three key areas to accomplish the Great Commission through evangelism and church planting. God has graciously provided for these efforts through His people's faithful and sacrificial giving, as a set percentage of undesignated gifts is automatically set aside for his work.
We promote mission engagement through our WMU (Women on Mission) groups and DR (Disaster Relief) teams.
Music ministry
Psalm 98:4 “Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing and praises!”
At North Conway we strive to do that as we blend both traditional and contemporary elements into our service. Our music ministry seeks to encourage followers of Christ to bring glory to Him by worshipping Him in spirit and in truth and expressing praise and thanksgiving because He deserves our highest praise.
Our music ministry opportunities include an adult choir and worship team that meets for practice weekly to prepare to lead the congregation in worship, instrumentalist, audio visual and video technicians who serve weekly, a children's music time for ages 4 - 5th grade that meet during the school year.
