Greetings From Our Director of Music Ministries
Colossians 3:16
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your heart.”
Music has always been a vital part of worship for God’s people. It is my prayer that we praise the Lord and bring glory and honor to Him while we worship. Worshipping through music speaks to the heart of those who are singing and playing instruments as to those who are listening. Worshiping through music is also a great way to witness to those who are lost, as well as, lead those who are Christians in a time of collective worship of our Lord.
The Lord is worthy or our highest praise and the best effort we can give Him as we serve in ministry. If you would like to be a part of the Music Ministry, we encourage you to do so and we have many opportunities in which you can serve. One way is the Celebration Choir, which is our adult choir. Other music ministries in which you may serve by assisting or leading are the Children and Youth music ministries. Below you will find a list of our Music Ministry opportunities and when and where each ministry meets.
NCBC Music Ministries
Celebration Choir
The Celebration Choir (Adult Choir) provides special music and leads congregational singing during the Sunday Morning service. The Celebration Choir meets for practice on Sunday nights at 5:00 p.m. in the music suite.
Sunday Morning Worship Team
The Sunday Morning Praise Team provides special music and lead congregational singing for morning worship.
Music in Motion
Music in Motion (Preschool Department) provides special music during Morning Worship. Music in Motion meets the first Sunday of the month at 9:45 a.m. in the Worship Center from September to May.
Mission Friends
Mission Friends (4 and 5 year old children) has a time of music during Mission Friends on Wednesday nights at 6:30 from September through May…Mission Friends provides special music from time to time.
Kidz Praiz
Kidz Praiz (Grades 1-5) provides special music well as musicals and handbell specials during morning worship and other services. Kidz Praiz meets for practice on Wednesdays, as part of M & M Kids (Music & Missions), at 6:15p.m from September through May, Kidz Praiz also has additional practices as needed
for special presentations.
Crosstalk Praise Team/Band
Crosstalk Praise Team/Band (Youth Ministry) leads music for Crosstalk services that are on Sunday nights at 6:00 from September through May and Wednesday nights at 6:30 from June through August. Crosstalk is held in the Senior High house across from the church.
