Missions

The heartbeat of God is missions and the heartbeat of North Conway Baptist Church is the same. We believe that God wants every lost person found and brought into the family of God. Because of God’s desire to reach everyone with the gospel of Jesus Christ, we believe that every member of NCBC should be involved in missions. Our church provides the following opportunities to be involved in local and world missions.

Mission Trips

Throughout the year mission trips are planned and members of all ages are invited to go to other countries and be involved in mission projects. In recent years members of NCBC have gone to Nepal, Haiti, and Belize. Our youth have been involved in mission projects in Louisiana and Myrtle Beach.

Mission Projects and Service

Our Women’s Ministry Mission Action Groups take the lead in collecting mission items for various ministries. Some of these include . . . . . Migrant Health Kits, Christmas stockings for the Salvation Army, canned goods for Churches Assisting People, prisoner packets, Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, and more. In addition, NCBC members serve as volunteers with several different local mission agencies.

Disaster Relief

NCBC has a Rapid Response Disaster Relief Team that is trained to go into disaster areas. This team works under the authority of the North American Mission Board and has responded to disasters in Alabama and South Carolina.

Missions Education and Prayer

Women’s Ministry Mission Action Groups meet monthly to learn more about Southern Baptist mission efforts and to prayer for missionaries.

Missions Financial Support

Our church supports the mission efforts of the Southern Baptist Convention by contributing to the Annie Armstrong offering to support missions in North America and the Lottie Moon offering to support missions around the world. In addition, many local mission agencies are financially supported by our church. Some of these local mission organizations include . . . . Churches Assisting People, Habitat for Humanity, Bethany Christian Services, S.O.S. Health Care, Children’s Evangelism Fellowship, Ground Zero, and Shepherd’s Table.

Joshua Project
gathers, integrates and shares people group information to encourage pioneer church-planting movements among every ethnic group and to facilitate effective coordination of mission agency efforts.

Joshua Project seeks to answer the questions that result from the Great Commission's call to make disciples among every nation or people group:

•Who are the ethnic people groups of the world?
•Which people groups still need an initial church-planting movement in their midst?
•What ministry resources are available to help outreach among the least-reached?
